Do I have to pay to use WIGHTTV?

We offer both free and paid subscription plans. For more information, see our plans.

Is there a minimum age to sign up?

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and you will be asked to provide your date of birth when you sign up. If you are under the age of 18 you can still watch age-appropriate content on WIGHTTV but you will need to ask a parent/guardian to sign up in their name and give you permission to use their account.

Are there any adverts shown during playback?

Ads are shown during playback when signed up to our free plan. There are no ads shown at any time when subscribed to our Ultimate plan. For more information, see our plans.

What devices are supported?

You can currently watch WIGHTTV through your browser on a PC, Laptop, Mobile or Tablet.

Can I share my account with other people?

If you are subscribed to our free plan, we do not recommend letting other people use your account as this may prevent you from viewing yourself if another device is viewing at the same time. If you are subscribed to our Ultimate plan, you should only share your account with people in the same household or immediately family members. This is to ensure you do not exceed your device limit which will prevent you from viewing until one or more devices are logged out.

Is there a limit to the number of devices I can use?

Yes. With our free plan you can only watch on 1 device at a time. Our Ultimate plan allows you to stream on up to 5 devices at the same time, allowing you and other family members to watch different shows simultaneously.

I've reached my device limit but I don't know why?

If you receive a warning that you have exceeded your device limit, you should go to the Devices section of your Account page and log out any devices that are not being used. If you see devices in the list that you do not recognise, you should log out the device and change your account password in order to keep your account secure.

Do you have age ratings for your shows?

Age ratings are displayed with all of our content and is independantly rated by WIGHTTV unless otherwise stated. Age ratings are intended as a guideline only and where children are concerned, parents/guardians should use their own discretion.

What is the quality of your streams?

All of our content is in HD (1080p) however in order to provide you with an uninterrupted viewing experience we use adaptive streaming technology which means that the quality of your stream will adjust according to your connection speed. When viewing from home using home broadband, content will be played back at HD (1080p), however if you are viewing on the move, for example on a Bus, playback quality will fluctuate between 360p and 1080p according to the internet speed of your device as you move.

Are mainstream TV channels and shows included?

No. All our content, including TV shows and series, is owned by WIGHTTV or our partners. We do not offer any other TV channels, movies or series on our platform.

Do I need to enter into a contract?

Absolutely not. There is no minimum contract with WIGHTTV and you can change your plan or cancel at any time. Please note however that if you cancel an Ultimate plan but change your mind and wish to continue with it, you will not be able to switch back to Ultimate until the end of the billing period, but you will still have access to all of the Ultimate plan features during this time.

How often will I be billed?

You will be billed on the same day each month if you are subscribed to our Ultimate plan.

Can I download content to watch offline?

We do not currently offer this feature however we plan to make downloads available in the near future.

Do I need a TV licence to watch WIGHTTV?

No, you do not need a TV licence to watch any of our content.

Do you have live TV shows?

At this time, all of our content is pre-recorded, however we plan to include live TV shows in the future.
